(( late afternoon )) Awaits the child to return, hearing hoovies across the sands he starts to make way up the tranched area that Audra's landing made. Eyes looking upon the two as he stood watching them approuch the place where they would proably stay the eve since the track to the village is too far for two lamed bodies to make it. Gently he reaches to the child as she comes , nibbling at her mane in asurence as then he turns to the mother.
"Your duaghter is brave...You should be proud of her. Lay down and I will see what I can do", he said in the most soft and kind voice this one could muster.

*sherbert did as she was told, pride for her daughter shining in her eyes. pineapple watched closely, learning b by observation,, but also ready to push the unicorn being away from her mother if needed. her distrust coming from a stressful couple of days more than a personality thing.*
"you really think you can help my mom?" pineapple asked quietly.

"We will see", as he steps to the child's mother and rest afront of her.
The spiral horn glows softly , dipping the tip to the mother's head as he began to heal the cut on her head, smoothing the phyical pains away as he made every efforts to make her comfortable. Standing there as the soft glow forms around Pineapple's mother. Seeking all the pains and wounds that lay over her body.

*sherbert seemed to breath easier as her head healed up. it would take a while for her to work through the anguish of losing quarterback, but nothing like that could be easily done. pineapple lay down in the sand when she realized sherbert was getting better from the attentions of the dragon-unicorn being. her fears were unfounded, and caused from a bad coupel of days, she dozed lightly as she didn't rest well the evening before.*

After awhile the spiral was lifted from her as he lays his head down in the sand. A blast from the bellows of his nares blowing a small gust. He nuzzles Pineapple's mother , reensuring this pony with a slow lift of his legs to walk down into the trench where Audra laid sleeping. Watching over her as he watches over the youngling and mother to her. Eyes, ears, taste and smell all sences triggers to an alarm that would bring a fierce beast to any whom would attempt to harm...One would say he has accepted the two as a part of his family...Soften hearts sometimes take time to find but his is evadent this evening. Looking over to Pineapple and the mother....
"What might be your name, mother of Pineapple? You may call me, Arulin...It means light....a rule...Honor....In my poeple's langugue"

"i am sherbert. thank you for your help. i don't know if i could have made it without it. we were attacked at sea, but were helped ashore. from there, i don't remember much. i hope to return the favor if you ever need it."
*sherbert sat down next to her daughter, bending her neck down to kiss her gently on the head.*

"A boon then...Tell me what were you doing coming across the seas, especially through the darken eastern. Vile as it is, not even I am brave enough to come into the darkness above the waters....Below the waters with the sharks is safer, acturally the sharks now know to fear me....I ate two while coming here, since then they been avoiding me...My love Audra....She is hauvy with childern and we were seeking a place to lay them and rise them up in safety"
He turns to look at Sherbert and smiles , little toothy but still as pleasent as one of his kin could.

"we were sailing, as a trip, when we were blown off course. we were then attacked by pirates. i lost my husband on the trip. i encouraged pineapple to jump overboard, hoping to swim ashore. we were then attacked by sharks. i fought them off as best i could from pineapple, but was bit on the head before some sea ponies helped. they helped us get to shore. from there, all i remember is pain from my head."
*she shook her mane out a little, hiding her fear of the unknown from herself more than anything. it looked as if she was going to have to make a life here for the two of them, but would she really want to go back to a life filled with memories of her husband? probably not.*

"Well as long as you wish it, I would request your company to stay...We are forginners of Ponyland...Maybe we could help each other... By the way, you said sharks grabbed at you....Maybe the same ones I ate I hope...In life there is always a circle to eat or be eaten, they may have been the same ones that are in my belly now", he chuckles , gleeming out to sea with a desire to hunt more fish and sharks as hard as they are to kill they make a good meal and little resistence in bone. Hitting them with the tail under the belly they are disabled and easily vored...
"Unfortunely my dragon father gave me his desires for flesh...Usurally I stick to those who hunt others so fear not there is little reason for me to eat ponies...With all the seafood smorgeboord out there...", licks of his lips as he glares at the sea.

*sherbert chuckled a little. no helping for tastes, especially when it comes to dragons.*
"if my permission is needed for you to eat the fish, then go right ahead. better them than me," her attempt at a joke. "i would be glad to remain with you. i can't say i know of anything else to do at this moment. is this island inhabited?"

"Yes, there is a village not far from here but with so many tired it would be a track unwise to travel till the next day...Some ponies may know more about this isle", he said softly as to not wake the others
"Rest, I'll stay up and guard us till we can move....Then I will rest when we get to the village", eyes peeled with a cut glare into the sea and surroundings

Claire walked along the beach, shivering. She wasn't sure if the coastal chill was common in the area, or if there was stormy weather on the way. With all the time spent on docks and in the open sea lately, the flutter still hadn't been given much opportunity to look at nearby beaches. She thought the rock formations near them were fascinating - nothing like the gentle, flowered landscape she was used to in Flutter Valley.
The fragile bones of her species made rock climbing incredibly risky, so she settled for letting her wings carry her just off the ground, allowing the very tips of her hooves to skip across the rocks. This reminder of what was beneath her seemed to give her more of a sense of how high she was, and she felt pleasantly thrilled by it all. After all of the time spend airborne in her lifetime, she didn't often stop to appreciate her powers of flight.
She thought with some resentment that this was probably due in part to her job of constantly tagging along behind an unpredictable princess. Claire felt guilty for having abandoned her duties and given up on finding Rosedust, but reasoned that she also needed to make time to live her own life.
She was so caught up in her own thought that she could not be sure how much time or distance passed before she caught sight of some blobs of color beneath her. Her stomach gave a lurch as she recalled some rumors of pirates that had been going around the ship on the way here, and she wondered if the group was trying to conduct some sort of private trade, or setting up camp where they thought they couldn't be found.
The flutter skimmed closer to the rock in an attempt at hiding herself, but then she caught sight of a filly among them. Kidnapping?, she thought at first. There was a mare with them that looked as though she could have been related, so most likely not. Still, any foal in the company of potential pirates didn't sit well with her.
Claire cleared her throat and came out from her partial hiding place, clearly uncomfortable with her decision to do so. She was determined to stay in the air above them because it made her feel safer. She thought that she could make out some wings in the small group, but hoped that she would be able to outfly them with utter-flutter if absolutely necessary. It struck her that she didn't have much of any plan other than talking out of them whether or not the filly was safe, so she called out an awkward, "Uh, hello... What's...going on?"

*having had the most rest, and her mother just barely being healed, the voice woke pineapple up. glancing around, she quickly caught sight of the small flutter pony. she stood carefully and made her way closer to the flutter. she didn't want to wake anyone up. she glanced back at her mother, then looked again at the flutter.*
"hello. i'm pineapple," she wasn't sure what to say, really, she was a little shy.

Claire let her guard down and flew lower, so her hooves were brushing against the sand. It felt extremely soft after walking along the rocky surfaces, so she allowed herself to sink deeper into it, and was more standing than hovering. She was relieved that the foal had been the one to hear her, and smiled at her - she seemed nervous.
Still keeping a tense ear pricked in the direction of the others, she nodded and said, "My name's Clarinet, but you can call me Claire." She and Rosedust were the youngest ponies in the royal household, but she liked to think that she was good with small foals. Claire paused to consider how to get Pineapple to tell her about the situation without sounding too accusing, and settled for, "I was just exploring the beach. What are you doing here?"
She didn't want to seem impatient and scare the filly off, but she glanced up every few seconds to look over Pineapple's shoulder. Flutters as a breed were naturally skittish, and she wanted to watch for the first sign of movement, to get away if need be.
