The pair of smaller Ssussuns stared at Atsu in open shock, both at the fact that they were bought for THEM, and at the fact that he was laughing. Wasn't he the one who was so angry, he was scary!?
When they were done boggling at Atsu, Soleil managed to speak. "We were bought for you to ... woo?" He asked dubiously, one ear flicking back in confusion. "We thought we were being bought for his ship... He said he was a pirate." Soleil chirped confusedly, one ear flicked back in worried confusion. Were they still going to try to woo them? It was a worrisome thought, but at least they were other Ssussuns; it would be so much worse if they were earth ponies! At least this pair would understand their reasons for not wanting to.
Lune watched silently, nibbling at his bottom lip as he watched the two Ssussuns, the same thought running through his mind. Were they going to hurt them? They wouldn't, right? Because they weren't girls? He pressed his shoulder agianst Soleil's, snuggling close. "Did you live on a pirate ship too?" He finally asked, his voice soft.

"We were bought for you to ... woo?" He asked dubiously, one ear flicking back in confusion. "We thought we were being bought for his ship... He said he was a pirate." Soleil chirped confusedly, one ear flicked back in worried confusion.
Atsu snickered a bit more till he saw the worried expression on Soleil's face. Clearing his throat, he quieted himself. "Uh.... yeah." He pointed at the sleeping pony. "Dingus, here got you instead of girls."he said in all seriousness. He rubbed a hoof on his left elbow, looking at that sleeping stooge, Gypsum.
Akono said nothing. He just watched the two male Ssussun.
"Did you live on a pirate ship too?" Lune finally asked, his voice soft.
Akono looked over at him, then to his brother. Should he explain how they were caught before they ever got their adult names. How they were badly mistreated before they were forced to work on the ship with some unsavory characters..... Akono had to shake his head to clear it of the memories. He took a deep breath. His brother must have felt the tension in the air because he was staring at him noe with a very sypathetic expression on his face. Akono looked back at the pair. "Yes, Lune, we were slaves on a pirate ship. But Gypsum, " he gestured to the pony. "He saved us and set us free."

Soleil's nostrils flared in thought, and he looked down at the sleeping Gypsum, frowning thoughtfully. "But, if ... if he freed you, then why would be buy more slaves?" He finally asked, looking up at Atsu (who seemed less scary now) then down to Gypsum, who snored loudly.
Gypsum, for his part, abruptly sat up, and cried "Zizzleblix! Snarfgaggle ploiabo!" and flopped backwards into bed once more, snoring anew.
"He is a strange master." Lune said in a very tiny voice, peeking over his brother's back to see Gypsum's sleeping form.

"He is a strange master." Lune said in a very tiny voice, peeking over his brother's back to see Gypsum's sleeping form.
Atsu and Akono jumped a bit when Gypsum suddenly sat up and shouted a bunch of nonesnse before falling back in a dead sleep. The twins ears and tails errect, they looked at each other. "You have no idea..." they said to the males.
Atsu walked up to the pair while Akono through a blanket over the snoring Gypsum. "He was drunk when he bought you so....yeah." he answered Soleil. "But Akono and I are going to make sure he sets you free too." he finished as he glared at Gypsum.

"Oh... drunk? I suppose that accounted for the wobbling, then." Soleil said softly, peering over at Gypsum curiously, his large ears perked.
The pair looked back to Akono and Atsu, frowning in thought. "So..." Soleil said softly, his ears dipping. "Do you think he might ... REALLY free us?" He added in a whisper, his tail lashing in worry. He didn't want to get his hopes up, but freedom, REAL freedom...
Lune pressed his body against Soleil's, his ears flat with worry. He didn't want to get excited for something that would probably not even happen!

"Oh... drunk? I suppose that accounted for the wobbling, then." Soleil said softly, peering over at Gypsum curiously, his large ears perked.
Atsu looked back at Gypsum for a moment, his matching large ears perking like the other Ssussun's. "Uh... he's like that alot." he said as he rolled his eyes.
The pair looked back to Akono and Atsu, frowning in thought. "So..." Soleil said softly, his ears dipping. "Do you think he might ... REALLY free us?" He added in a whisper, his tail lashing in worry.
Atsu felt the weight of those words. His ears fell in sypathy. "I think he will." he said, trying to smile.
Akono looked over at the twins. He heard their question, too. He knew how they felt. Dare to dream about true freedom, it was heatbreaking. But he knew for certain that once Gypsum woke up, he'd do the right thing. He left Gypsum's side to move closer to the twins. He noticed how skittish and tense they were. "You want to sit down or something?" he asked gesturing to some chairs.
Atsu nodded, his ears perking. Making them more comfortable might be a good idea.

Gypsum snored loudly in protest, and rolled over once more, flip-flopping his legs this way and that. Bah! Dreams!
Soleil glanced at Atsu, nibbling at his bottom lip, and looked back down at Gypsum. "He drinks a lot?" He asked softly, one ear pricking forward in curious concern.
"You really think so?" Lune whispered, as if afraid that the sleeping Gypsum would hear his hopeful desire. "I... I would really like that." He whispered, pressing close to his brother's side.
Soleil nodded in agreement, and at Akono's direction, he glanced over to the chairs. "Well, I ... we don't want to get in trouble with our new Master. He might not wish us to rest." He said carefully, his ears flicking back against his head in fear.
"Soleil, my legs hurt." Lune whispered to his brother, although the room was small enough that the other two Ssussuns would probably hear anyway. He nuzzled against his brother's neck unhappily, trying to shift the weight on his long, aching legs as he stood in place.
Soleil glanced at his brother and, after a moment's thought, sat down on the floor with him. They ignored the chairs for the moment, chosing instead to splay their long legs over the floor with sighs of long-awaited relief. "Thank you." Soleil said softly to the Ssussuns, glancing up at them with a less guarded gaze.

Atsu and Akono heard the little whisper of Lune's want to for freedom. They both flattened their ears in sypathy as Gypsum was dead to the world. "To bad he's not as silent os the dead..." Atsu grumbled to himself, glaring at the sleeping pirate.
Akono heard it and giggled a bit as he forcefully tapped his brother.
Atsu lurched forward a bit. "What?" he asked with a sly grin.
That's about the time that they heard the pair of Ssussuns again. "Well, I ... we don't want to get in trouble with our new Master. He might not wish us to rest." He said carefully, his ears flicking back against his head in fear.
Akono and Atsu's ears fell flat like deflated balioons. it was so disheartening! How could they make them understand that they were no longer going to be slaves? Atsu's ears perked after a moment as a realization came over him. He leaned in close to his brother. "You know, Gypsum might have screwed up. But he kinda did a good thing too. Had he not bought them, they'd be in the hands of someone else." he whispered.
Akono's ears perked to as the poor little Ssussuns chose to sit on the floor. "Yeah, and there would be no freedom." he whispered back, the same realization coming over him. Then he noticed the two on the floor, as did Atsu. They looked at the pair. "That can't be comfortable." Akono said, arching an eyebrow.
Atsu tried to help them up. "No, no. You guys aren't gonna be slaves. Your just like us."

Soleil looked up at the pair curiously, his large ears flicking towards them. "Actually, it's quite comfortable! Our legs are stiff from standing for that slave auction all day today... it's nice to stretch them out like this." He said reassuringly, not wanting them to be upset on their behalf for such a small thing. The floor, for the moment, was nicer than the chair! No need for them to worry, they'd worried enough!
Lune ignored the temporary hubbub, and curled his long neck over his brother's back, snuggling his cheek against his back like a pillow. Clearly, the silky-maned twin was quite tired, and didn't worry about using his brother as bedding. Soleil glanced over momentarily and nuzzled at his mane, watching over him protectively.

"Actually, it's quite comfortable! Our legs are stiff from standing for that slave auction all day today... it's nice to stretch them out like this." He said reassuringly.
Atsu and Akono just looked at them then at each other. But Atsu was the one who approached them. He knew they were just saying that to make the two of them feel better. He gave a shake of his head and sat next to them in the same manner that they had, his own long legs splayed out. "That actually is quite comfy."
Akono gave a slight smile. Sometimes his brother knew just what to do. As Lune seemed to settle down for a nap, Akono slid down to the floor to join his fellow Ssussuns, splaying his thincker legs out as well. His mouth curled up in little reassuring smile, he stretched his front legs. Hopefully, he and his brother, joining the new slaves, would help them feel less like slaves. Time would tell. He looked at his brother. "Yeah, I have to agree." He glanced back at Gypsum. Was he ever going to wake up. He gave a yawn which seemed to indce a yawn in his brother. Yep, they all were sleepy.

Soleil looked up at Atsu curiously, a hint of wariness still in his expression; thankfully, he was beginning to become less jumpy around the older Ssussun. "It's nice for the joints." He agreed with Atsu, wiggling his slender legs slowly beside his.
As if reading their thoughts, Gypsum gave a large, rattling snore, flipping his tail twice at invisible flies before returning to a deep, silent sleep.
Lune was quickly joining Gypsum in dreamland, and his head soon lay heavily on Soleil's side. He yawned softly, already drifting off, and snuggled up against his brother.
Soleil was quite tired as well, he suddenly realized; standing all day at the auction, as well as being brought home under such strange circumstances, was not something that offered a lot of restful opportunities. So, he slowly lowered his head as well, spreading out on the floor as he relaxed totally. Ahhh. The cool wood of the floor felt nice on his jaw.

Atsu watched Soleil stretch his legs. He had to admit, it was kinda nice there on the floor. Akono gave another yawn but nearly swallowed his tongue when Gypsum snored rather loudly, quite suddenly. Atsu jumped as well. Both brothers turned and glared back at the sleeping pony. "Moron." Atsu murmured. He looked back at Lune. He was already sleeping too. May as well, join him? Slowly he layed his head on the colf wooden floor. Ahhhh.
Akono did the same. He was pretty tired. Time to sleep.

((Time SKIP:) ))

Lune was already asleep, and Soleil soon joined him. Well, the new master was asleep, the secondary-masters-but-not were falling asleep as well... perhaps it was safe to sleep here too. Soleil yawned very widely, but silently, and laid his head against Lune's hip. The pair curled up in a roughly oval shape, Lune's legs spread out like a limp octapus while Soleil curled up like a porcupine.
((time skip!))
Gypsum was the first one up the next morning... not that he WANTED to be, mind you. His head was rather sore, but not quite as harshly as it had been in the past. Mostly because he hadn't had TOO much alcohol, he reasoned. Of course, that was just in his own opinion... he'd merely felt pleasantly buzzed, but he supposed he'd been more drunk than he thought.
He sat up sleepily, and leaned over the side of the bed, blearily looking around for his two companions. The memories of the previous night were a little hazy, but he got the sense that he had offended them, which he certainly DIDN'T want to do. Well, too much, anyway; they were male, and males liked teasing one another! But not about something as serious as they had thought it was. All he'd wanted to do was win a bet, and maybe set his friends up with some hotties!
As his eyes slowly came into focus, Gypsum's eyes fell upon the little 'circle' of Ssussuns cuddling on the floor, their legs alternately splayed out or curled under their narrow little torsos. Aww, so cute! Now they had friends! Gypsum sleepily slumped his head against the bed, his ears dozily lowering as he laid against the mattress.
Soleil was still mostly asleep, but he tilted his head slightly, giving a soft, chirrupy yawn as he turned over onto his other side. Lune didn't wake up, but he whuffled softly in his sleep, acknowledging his brother's noises as he slept.

Atsu and Akono slept silently on the wooden floor together. Unlike the other two Ssussuns, the two males did not cuddle up together. Their time away from their home territory had kinda made them assimulate into these new ways. When they had first come to be slaves, they were perhaps as scared as the new two were. But life on the seas with pirates had made them much harder. And now their personalities were firmly shaped. Slavery had made them a bit jaded.
As Gypsum stirred, the two Ssussuns did not. The only signs that they were sleeping and not dead , was the soft rising and falling of their chests and a the flick of their ears.
