Crescent Moon yawned. God, I'm beat. She kicked a bit of sand at the alicorn, aiming so no sand hit the merpony at all. Thats for being a pirate and kidnapping me. She snarled.

[[Hey guys, can I join this thread? ^^ Tahlise recommended it to me, but if it's already too busy, I totally understand. *nodnod*]]
Today was just NOT going well. First, they'd been spending weeks on a shoddy ship, and not even a passenger ship. No, THIS ship was designed for fishing, but it was the only ship willing to take them to Tropics Isle, one of the more far-flung visiting spots of their father. Quartz, Lili, Aloe, and Rainbow Sprinkles had been stuck in the small, cramped quarters belowdecks for a large part of the journey, either with seasickness or to be protected from the 'dangers' of fishing. Dangers, Quartz growled to herself, more like didn't want anyone to see their 'secret' fishing spots.
So, weeks passed, and the slow boat finally drew within sight of the distant island... and froze. The supersticious sailors had balked at the sight of the island, apparantly encased in some kind of storm-formation. They said it was a 'bad omen', a sign that the island was cursed, and only death lingered there. They refused to go any closer, no matter how fiercely Quartz raged against them. Despite the fact that they'd paid well (TOO well) to get here, they were now going to turn and go back, returning the trio of semi-family to the mainland.
Quartz outright refused, being the most outspoken member of their group, and so began devising a plan to get onto shore and back into the business of seeking out her father's legacy... even if it DID include more half-sisters, or quarter-brothers.
Hence, that's why their small group was now crammed into a lifeboat, rowing furiously towards shore as the larger vessel sailed off into the distance. Quartz set down one of the oars for a moment, swearing under her breath. "d**n supersticious ninnies, couldn't WAIT to get out of here..." She snarled, rubbing one sore arm. She wasn't USED to using them so much!
Aloe, who manned the other oar, nodded silently, and waited for her to continue rowing so that he wouldn't be spinning them in useless circles.
"Cmon, we're almost there!" Rainbow Sprinkles cheered on, raising one hoof from her bag to point at the shore. "I think I see some ponies, enjoying a picnic on the beach! Cmon, we're almost there! We just gotta catch a wave, or something!"
Quartz turned, her ears sliding back flat against her head. "We're going to catch a wave, all right." She hissed, trying to turn the small life-boat, to no avail. The waves were too strong for such a small vessel; especially after a storm, it was no match for the beach.
With many high whinnies and shrieks of panic (mostly from Rainbow Sprinkles), the quartet tumbled into the water, head over hooves as they held tightly to their bags, struggling to swim to shore. It wasn't TOO deep, at least, but they would still have to swim some of the way. Their legs paddled under the water with little effect, churning up water as they slowly came rolling in on the waves, along with the broken pieces of their life boat.
Quartz landed first, coughing bitter seawater up as she struggled immediately to her feet, refusing to be caught on her belly in the sand by a bunch of island natives. She stood wobbily on all four legs, looking around the group with a calculating glance. Who were they, and why was one of them holding a BODY!? Good alchemy, had she landed in the middle of a murder?

[[ooc: sure you can join ^_^ nice post.]]
Crescent Moon heard screams and looked out to sea. Her eyes widened as she saw a boat turn over, but luckily the ponies got onto dry land moments later. She saw one of them stop and stare at Meris and the pirate's limp form.

Redbow and Meris heard the screams as well. Caught off guard both mers jumped a bit and stared at the four ponies making their way onto shore. "What the..." Redbow growled as he stared at the group stuck in the swelling waves.
Quartz landed first, coughing bitter seawater up as she struggled immediately to her feet, refusing to be caught on her belly in the sand by a bunch of island natives. She stood wobbily on all four legs, looking around the group with a calculating glance.
Meris stepped back a bit, surprised at what the sea was bringing them as of now. He met the calculating eyes of the mare and knew that she probably thought he was carrying a dead body or something. He gave a small snort. He wasn't sure who these new ponies were, but the fact that they came in on the waves, bothered him. Still he said nothing. He just stood there looking them over.
Redbow, on the other hand, more than matched her look. His ears slung back tight against his skull, he glared at her and the others as they were brought in by the tide. He too was not too trusting about how they were being brought in. Where did they come from? And were they pirates? The last question in his thought brought Redbow directly in front of Quartz. "Who are you?" he growled, his voice low.

NightStar heard screaming. She spun round to see a lifeboat topple over close to shore. Four ponies swam out from the wreck and one of them stared at Meris and the pirate. NightStar imidiatly ran over to see if they were alright. "Oh my goodness! Are you all ok?" she asked, glaring at Redbow as if to say don't knock them out too! She waited for him to speak before stepping infront of him. "Red, lay off, their not pirates ok?" she warned, adding well, they don't look like pirates in he mind. Spinning round to the other ponys, she smiled. "Are you ok?" she asked again.

Crescent looked quietly at the newcomers. She looked at Redbow. Its ok, they arent pirates. They werent on the ship when the pirates kidnapped me. She looked at them but stayed silent this time, confused. Sharp eyes noticed the prisoner waking, so she raised her hoof and thumped the alicorn on the back of her head, just behind the ears. It made her feel a little better, and she stood by Redbow and Meris, her gaze now on the newcomers. They were looking like they had just stumbled onto a crime scene.

NightStar nodded to Redbow, see, nothing to worry about, lay off the newcomers she grinned, winding up redbow was fun. So, where are you from? Hardly here Night asked the newcomers. She flicked her hair out of her face and swished her tail around in the breeze. It was starting to get late. Maybe we shoule get going soon, will we carry the pirate to the dungeon or what? she wondered aloud.

Quartz looked up at the ponies, trying to shrug off some of the seawater that soaked her to the skin. "Quartz. Who the hell are you people?" She growled, looking at the limp body disapprovingly, her ears flicking back slowly.
She glanced at NightStar curiously, but remained quite tense. "Fine." She growled, not reacting as her three half-siblings flopped onto the sand after her.
Lili remained on her belly for a moment, coughing feebly as Aloe (the only stallion) helped her to her hooves gently. Rainbow Sprinkles, on the other hand, bounded to her feet excitedly, looking the other ponies over curiously. "Oooh! A dead girl! ... why do you have a dead body?" She wondered aloud, tilting her head to the side.
"We are from an island very, very far from here." Quartz said tersely, still eyeing the group with much distrust. "Why are you taking her to the dungeon?" She retorted sharply, her tail lashing once.

NightStar grinned I'm NightStar, and this is my sister, CresentMoon she said, leaving out the fact that they were princesses and this is Meris, Redbow, Storm and DarkChocolate she introduced the rest of the gang, pointing at the 'dead' body as she said the last name. She smiled at the others hello, come to join us have you? she joked.
"Oooh! A dead girl! ... why do you have a dead body?" said the energetic one that bounded up excitedly. NightStar laughed. she's not dead, Redbow here just got sick of her stuggling so much she said, as if a Redbow knocked ponys out everyday.

Redbow seemed to back off a bit as Nightstar and Crescent Moon jumped all over his case about. They claimed that these new comers were not pirates. He glanced at the two royals then at the new ponies. No, he didn't trust this but he had to obey the royals. Slowly, he loosened up, backing away slightly, but made sure they knew he was still right there if something went down. "As you wish..."
Meris just watched his brother back off. He could tell he was still angry and wary. The blue mer turned his attentions back to the new ponies, especially the one who called Quartz, who had the audacity to speak to him in such a manner. But before he could say anything, NightStar introduced everyone.
"I'm NightStar, and this is my sister, CresentMoon." she said, leaving out the fact that they were princesses. "And this is Meris, Redbow, Storm and DarkChocolate."
Redbow gave a sarcastic grin. "Hello."
Meris glared at his brother before realizing the new ponies thought that the pirate on his back was dead! But once again NightStar beat him to it.
NightStar laughed. "She's not dead, Redbow here just got sick of her stuggling so much." she said, as if Redbow knocked ponys out everyday.
Meris let his ears perk a bit, still staring at the Quartz and the others when he realizd that Crescent Moon had suggested that they get moving. They had to get this pirate to the dungeons. Meris gave a sigh. He really wasn't liking having these unknown ponies on the island. But he and the others really had no time to get to know them and their intentions. He would have to take them with him. "You four are gonna have to come with us." he said starkly. "We can talk on the way."
Redbow gave another grin. "Shall we go?" he said sarcastically.
"Red!" Meris growled.
Redbow's ears pressed into his skull as he moved to the back grumbling to himself. Meris stood waiting for the others.

Crescent Moon watched the ponies reactions carefully. The seemingly hyper pony was beginning to get on the little 8 year old's nerves, but she held her tongue. Crescent hated prying eyes and things, but she'd be nice after what these ponies had gone through. She looked at her sister. Hey, Storm isnt here. He went back with the other one, remember? She really wanted to be able to use telepathy, but seeing as she was the only pegasus of the four young ponies in her family, she couldnt. She wanted to ask Night Star not to spill anything, she knew how talkative her sister was.

[[Baww, again, sorry for being so slow!]]
Quartz looked over NightStar uneasily, her tail lashing from side to side, spraying her sisters with seawater. "Sick of her struggling?" She asked sharply, her ears flicking back. Uh oh. These were NOT nice ponies! "What did she do?"
Aloe bristled at Meris' stark tone, and his ears flicked backwards as well. "Come with you? Why should we? What right do you have to force us?" He growled, pawing one hoof against the sand, his sparkly coat shimmering both with its inherent shinyness and the seawater that still clung to him.

These ponies were troublesome, for the love of God! Crescent wanted to get home. She'd been stuck on a ship, held hostage, then witnessed a fight in which her friend had been injured in more ways than one, and now these ponies were being just a bit troublesome. She snorted. Alright, this pony. She pointed one turquoise hoof at the pirate. This pony is a pirate. Her captain kidnapped me and then my friends destroyed his ship. She explained bluntly, leaving out names just in case. She'd got a short temper lately, and it was becoming shorted by the minute. Gaze looked to the male pony. You would have to come with us so we could explain everything, plus you just was thrown out of a little boat into the sea. I'm guessing your outlanders, and that means you might have no place to go. A bit blunt perhaps, but it got down to the point. The little princess was tetchy right now, she wanted to go home and see if Celtic was alright, plus Storm. And her father, he hadnt been very well of late and she had heard he was on the mend.
