The sheer curtains waved lazily in the sweet scented breeze of the night air. The moon, itself, was little more than a cresant peering in through the large window, reflecting itself on the marble floors of the stately room. On the walls were beautiful paintings of family memberes passed and present along with golden artifacts, mounted swords, and other jeweled decorations. In the middle of the room, up the marble steps, was a large, plush, canopy bed. Upon the headboard was carved and inlayed in gold, as well as precious stones, what looked like the Royal Family Crest. A black pegasus, reclined in the silk and satin. It was the King himself, King Comet. His long red, orange , and yellow hair a bit messy, looking more out of place. He breathed a slight sigh, his body appeared weak and shuddered from the cold despite all the blankets he was under. He shut his blue eyes, stifling the urge to cough again. Oh would this never end?
Comet snuggled back into his soft pillows. He'd been ill for so long he'd forgotten what it was like to be well. He gave a raspy growl to himself and peered longly out his window with one eye. He should be out there ruling his kingdom not confined in his own quarters to leave Stardust to handle it all. Another sigh and this time he coughed. He was riling himself up and coughing came with it. He quickly drank that nasty tasting tonic the healer had left for him on his night stand. The taste was almost metallic. He shuddered, almost dropping the bitter cup. "Ughhh." He shook his head, trying to swallow the stuff. "Oh gods..."
