SunFlight soared over the sunset as it rested on the ocean's line. The colorful rays painted the clear sky. SunFlight flapped her warm colored wings as her yellow, red, and orange banner waved behind. She sighed slightly as looked down at the water as she flew over it. Oh how she wished she could touch the coolness. But sadly she couldnt. She tucked in her wings and neared the shore, setting foot on it. She tossed her head and colorful tresses swayed about her face. She sighed again, feeling lonely, and looked out over the sunset

In the shallows of the sea by a rocky reef, just a few feet from the pegasus, something breeched the waves, coming halfway out of the water. It was, what looked like, a blue pegasus, a blue male pegasus. He lifted his head, shaking out the water from his sea green hair, contentedly, stretching his feathered wings. Splashing a bit, he came to rest on a rocky outcrop but only his front half could be seen. The rest of him remained in the water. With a sigh, he pushed his forelock to the side and gazed out at the setting sun. This time of day was one of his favorites. All the colors were so beautiful. The wind picked up a bit, begining to dry his mane, and catching the fluff of his feet. The sound, the feeling, was soothing and he remained there for some time, not realizing that anyone else was around.

Her ears flickered at the soothing sounds of the waves lapping up on the sandy shore. A slight smile crossed her velvets as she continued to peer out over the horizon. Another soft sigh was released. Ears flickered as the sounds of rushing water was heard. Gaze dropped to the shore, spotting the blue male. Brow rose over an orb slightly confused. But she remained quiet, not knowing if he had seen her yet

The blue pegasus smiled as his form was bathed in the fading light of the sunset. Tilting his head back, he let his green, silky hair fall behind him where the wind picked it up gentily. As the sun seemed to sink in the west, the velvety blanket of star studded darkness began unfolding in the east. Silently, the pegasus turned to see the moon as it rose. He pulled his lower half a few inches out of the water before he thought he spotted another pony watching him. Instinctively, he fell back into the waves and stayed low, watching the pony from the space just under the outcrop. Who was out there?

SunFlight startled slightly at his quick moves and took off flying into the air. Wings draped at the air as her orange body soared over the water. Silky orange, yellow, and red tail flagged behind. Her head shook the tassels from her ebony orbs. As her body sooned near the shore again her footing hit the sand softly. She looked out towards the waves were she saw the other but didn't see him. Slowly she backed into a bush, quietly peering out behind it

The male pegaus saw the other pony take to the air and was almost spellbound as the sun's dwindling rays illuminated the pony, showing off the beautiful sunset like colors as she flew. She? Yes, it was a she. He could tell that right away. Without realizing it, the blue pegasus had come out of his hiding spot just to watch the beauty, he saw, glide through the air and land ever so softly on the sand. For a moment he forgot where he was and just gazed at her. Then, as quick as a flash, he backed back into his hiding spot, realizing he had come out too far. Had she seen him? Was there really a reason to hide from such a beautiful creature? He let the thoughts fill his head and began to feel foolish for fearing a mare.
She hid amongst the bushes and, at that moment, he realized she feared him too. Quietly, carefully, he came out from under the rocky outcrop, climbing up onto it till his upper body was resting on it. The wind blew through his hair pulling it back behind him in gentile waves like the sea itself. He waited there a moment, trying to peer through the greenery. When he was unable to, he decided to try to speak to her. Clearing his throat, he looked back into the water, rubbing his hooves on his forelegs. He was nervous and it showed. He thought about diving back into the water but forced himself to stay where he was. He gazed back into the brush and swallowed hard. "Uh.... you can come out... I won't hurt you, Miss..."

As the sky was fully covered in darkness her sun colored body glowed softly in the night. The rose imprint on her hind leg glowed softly with a beautiful shine. She continued to peer out from the bush as she spotted the male once more. Hearing his words slightly startled her, but soon she began to calm. Slowly she came out from behind the bush, exposing her sun tinted, glowing body. Her whole body glowed. Of course, she was the daughter of the Sun God. Her wings were tucked in comftorably and she shook her sun colored tassels again. 'Um, hello...' Soft vocals spoke to him

She was a vision, that’s for sure. She actually glowed like the sunset that had just passed. The blue male tried not to stare but found it hard. She was beautiful in all his favorite hues too. The site of her against the velvety, dark, star-peppered sky actually took his breath away. He found his tongue feeling as if it were weighted and trying to speak was a chore. He shook his head in an effort to clear his mind, “What’s wrong with me…” he whispered to himself. He took a deep breath, relaxing himself, regaining his normal composure, which was not as brave as he’s like it to be, but it would have to do. “Hello.” He slid back a few inches, letting his back half slide farther into the water. This was hard for him. He needed the comfort of the sea around him. Swallowing, he managed a smile. “May I ask your name?”

Sun hued tresses swayed in the soft night breeze. Her breathing was gentle as she looked contently upon the male. I am SunFlight. Alto's spoke softly. Ebony lanterns held a soft expression along with her facade. Weight shifted slightly uneasy but she soon calmed again by the sounds of the ocean. May I ask your name?

The blue stallion gave a soft gasp, seeing her gorgeous sunset-like colors. He stretched a feathered wing, the wind catching his silky sea green hair , which now seemed darker than before in the dim light of the night sky. He managed a smile, lying back on his rock outcrop, trying to get more comfortable. His darker blue eyes seemed to light up with specks of stars and the almost full moon. Crossing his hooves in front of him, he laid his head down on them with a content sigh. "Hello, SunFlight. I am Oceanus." he announced. Then with a slight tilt of his head, he asked, "Are you from here?"

Oceanus had waited for the mare to answer but he got nothing and now he heard that sound, the sound of a mer in distress. He looked back at the beautiful mare one last time before diving hard into the sea. He shot toward the bottom and with a flick of his powerful tail, the blue, winged mer flew through the sea, on his way to see what was going on. Opening his wings he paddled with them, propelling himself even faster through the water. But as he neared where the sound was coming from, it stopped suddenly. He couldn't help but stop short with a gasp. What had happened?
He was still too far away to hear anything elese so he decided to continue on in the direction the sound had come. He needed to find out what was going on. And though he wished he could gaze on that beautiful mare just a bit longer, his gut told him to hurry.
