Rain beat down on the decks of the White Pearl, and its Captain, Captain Sparrow, turned to his Wind Maker, who was trying vainly to control the storm. Wave Catcher's sides heaved with effort, and her antennae were tiny stars, twinkling in the night. next to her, Wind Chaser didn't look much better. Like Wave Catcher, his own antennae glowed, providing more power to his mate.
"Keep going, lassie! Yer doin fine!" Sparrow called.
"I'm trying, guys! I can't keep up the power any longer!" Wave Catcher grunted. then, things got worse. six slimy, gray tentacles wrapped themselves around the ship, forcing both Wind Makers to direct their attention to it instead of the storm. the battle was short lived, and ended with the destruction of the White Pearl, and claimed most of its sailors. Wave Catcher hit the water, and watched as for the second time in her life, her beloved ship, mate, and Captain were taken away from her. the Storm let lose with a howl, and the ocean sucked at Wave Catcher's feet. She saw a piece of drift wood, and clung to it for dear life. She would grieve later. suddenly, a wave crashed over her head, and took her under. She considered giving up, when something hit her, and darkness followed. A gray tentacle lifted the tiny beezie into the air, and deposited her on a nearby island, and stole away into the darkness, leaving the unconscious, water logged, Wind Maker on the beach.
