Out of the sea came the little cabin pony. She was a strange breed, a mer-alicorn. Name of Blackbird, although she wasnt black. Her coat was blue and she had two white stockings on her forelegs, while her hair was cosmic blue and silvery blue. Bright green eyes look out from the long lock of black hair which shone blue in the sun. Blackbird flipped the locks back, wringing the water out of them. She walked up the beach, having changed back to alicorn form as she left the water. Green eyes look back at her sodden wings, hanging from her sides. At least one of them was broken, and she couldnt feel either. Unfortunately she had no healing powers, and doubted anyone else did. She was limping as well, having aquired a deep, long gash on her shoulder. It hurt, the salty water stung it, but Blackbird took no notice. It would scar, thats for sure. She looked around to see if any other pirates were about, any other crew members of the pirate ship she'd just escaped. Anyone would be good, she needed to know if any others survived.

Parchment reached land. She coughed and fell onto her knees. She tried to fold her wings in when a searing pain brought her to her sences, causing her to cry out. She glanced at her wing and saw a long tear along the edge of her wing. She sighed and lit her horn, which glowed a faint tan color. She touched the wound with her horn. Her wing prickled slightly, causing her too wince a little as she ran her horn along the wound. Most of it cleared up, although a red line was still visable and parts of it were to wide for her to close. She slowly stood, shaking some of the water. She stared wringing the water out of her hair, though it still stuck to her face and her body, her tail clinging to her legs. She scanned the beach in hope of other survivers and saw a faint blue dot. That little blue spot look familiar she said in a voice as low as a whisper, before trotting happily towards the blue dot.

Blackbird had collapsed onto the sand, breathing heavily. God, that swim had been hard, every stroke had been agony. She suspected her tail was cut as well, although in her alicorn form it would be on her legs. The tide came up the beach to where Blackbird lay. It flooded round her, transforming her rear end back to her merpony tail with the sparkling silver fins. A movement along the beach brought her to her senses. It was a pony, an alicorn. Parchment! Blackbird got up and shook the water off of her. Her tail transformed back into legs and she got up, ignoring the blood trailing down her coat.

Parchment forgot how tiring the swim had been and started into a full-speed gallop. She skided to a halt beside Blackbird, sand flying everywhere. Blackie! she cried, huging her friend tightly You made it too! She let go of Blackbird as she saw red out of the corner of her eye. She spotted a long, deep gash on Blackbird's shoulder What happened? she asked, lighting her horn again. It'll hurt she warned, before lightly touching the wound and running her horn down it Its going to scar she confirmed, when she was nearly finished. She lifted her horn off of Blackbird's shoulder and smiled Its not fully healed, I'm to young to make it completly better.

Blackbird winced as Parchment hugged her. Guess I did make it, but not all in one piece. She joked slightly. As Parchment healed the gash on her shoulder Blackbird found she could stand the pain. Thanks. Its ok, I understand. She looked around, green eyes surveying the landscape. Where are we?

Parchment glanced around I don't know, good question Parchment said, eyes still scanning the land. Not fimiliar to me she shrugged Mabie we could take a look and find out she suggested, flinching as the cold water touched her hoof. She walked few steps towards the town. Mabie we could check out the town, and mabie we'll find some more of the crew she hoped, stepping again towards the town I think I see the town over there she pointed.

Yeah. Blackbird agreed. Then a thought came to her mind. We'll be recognised as pirates from how we look and act, and neither of us has the magic to disguise ourselves. She told Parchment. Maybe we'd do better to walk around the coastline, we're bound to find some others then. She looked around.

I can transform, but only myself, and I'd still act the same. So yeah, good idea, we would find more that way she nodded, and started walking along the beach. Mabie It'd be better if we wern't seen, we could fly and we'd see more that way Parchment sugested But we'd be seen... she decided We better walk she nodded, walking farther. She spashed water at Blackbird Bet you can't spash me! she cried, jumping into the air and hovering a few feet above the ground. She laughed and flew onwards, staying low to the ground.

Blackbird giggled. You forget I'm half merpony, half alicorn. Sure I can splash you. She cradled her broken wings on her back, ignoring the pain, then felt a splash. Blackbird danced away, a little wonky in her steps, before she could change. She walked up the beach.
