That's scary." He whispered, snuggling a little closer in his blanket, laying his head down on his forelegs.
Zelos only slightly nodded, trying to forget the past. Hummingbird was absolutely silent in serene sleep once again. Zelos glanced at him and rolled his eyes. "Show off.." he said to himself.
"I'll sleep next to you, to keep the bad dreams away. Legend says that brightly colored ponies scare off bad dreams!" He said cheerfully, smiling as he closed his eyes. "G'night, Zelos." He whispered again, yawning as he snuggled into his fluffy quilt.
Zelos' ears perked up instantly. He was going to sleep next to him? Awww, what a sweet little pony.... no, wait! What was he saying. He was lying to these ponies. He and Hummingbird only needed them as something to hide behind so they could find the others...if there were any others. They were not here to make friends! Zelos gave a sigh as Pak wished him goodnight and did, indeed, fall asleep right next to him. The flutter watched him for a moment. Such a delicate little creature, beautiful wings. Another sigh. He really hated all this lying. The little winger was so trusting and adorable to boot! zelos perked his ears at his own thoughts. What was he saying. Quickly, he layed his head down on the pillow, trying to go back to sleep. "Uh...goodnight, Pak." he murmured, closing his eyes but not falling back into sleep.

Pak smiled up at Zelos, mostly asleep, and gave a little sleepy-murmur in reply to his words. For ten minutes, Pak simply laid silently in his blanket, head tucked comfortably between his front legs, wings fluttering gently with each breath. However, Pak was not known for his peaceful sleeping, and so soon began to gravitate towards the closest heat source-- Zelos.
Wingers are small, and as such they can cool down much faster than the average pony. And since he was on the floor, without his warm padded hammock to keep him warm, Pak was feeling a little chilly. So, in his sleep, he rolled onto his side, so that he could press against Zelos' warmth. He gave a little happy sleep-trill, and settled down once more, his wings pressed lightly against Zelos'.

Zelos felt someone really close to him. Like a shot, he lifted his head looking for the culprit. To his surprise it was Pak and he was sound asleep. Eyes wide, ears perked, the flutter just stared at him. What was he doing? He looked around at the other wingers all snug in their spots. He glanced at Hummingbird. He was dead to the world. Zelos wrickled his nose. He always was able to sleep like a rock. "Figures." he whispered under his breath, wanting to hit him with something. He let out a sigh, turning back to Pak. Should he let him stay where he was? Move him a bit away? What?
For a while, Zelos just laid there, watching the little wingers pretty little wings as he took his breaths. He was something else, so delicate, much more so than any flutter he'd ever encountered. Quietly, carefully, the flutter pony shifted his body a bit so he could get a better look at the winger next to him. "Adorable..." he whispered, almost reaching out to push back a stray lock of hair..... Wait, did he just say that he thought this male was adorable? He pulled his hoof back, quickly. What the hell was wrong with him. He glanced back at Pak. He must just be tired from all that has happened. He needed sleep, food, and a mare, yep. That was the problem. He was lonely. Great! He dropped his head back on his pillow and shut his eyes again, trying to sleep. Morning please come!

~Time Skip~
The wingers slept peacefully for the rest of the night, tucked safely into their hammocks and blankets. For Pak, he slept quite well, almost better than he normally would have slept. Pak was a bit of a heat-magnet, and so with a nice, snuggly body next to him, he spent most of the night pressed up against Zelos snugly, bathing in his warmth. However, sometime during the night, Pak had actually managed to migrate onto Zelos' back, nestled between his wings as snugly as a baby flutter pony. He wasn't terribly heavy, so it wasn't like he would crush Zelos; still, to the random observer, it appeared slightly like Zelos had grown an extra head and pair of wings.
Moondrop and Violin slept late, snugged into their hammocks comfortably, various legs splayed out over the edges. They likely wouldn't wake until the others did, as they tended to be quite late-sleepers.

The morning found Zelos ridgid, lying awake with his eyes closed. He wasn't asleep by any stretch of the word. No, the moment Pak climbed on his back, his eyes popped open, his body tensed and, well....that's kinda how he stayed the entire night, save for finally closing his eyes. Now he could still feel him lying on his back! It was so awkward yet he kinda was starting to be okay with it. And that small fact was what was bothering him the most. Maybe it was from all that happened. That's why he was feeling so out of it? He tried to put those thoughts out of his mind, trying to get to sleep when his commrade began to stir next to him. He begrudgingly, watched him.
Hummingbird stretched a bit, yawning as he woke up refreshed but quite hungry. He took a deep breath, glancing at Zelos for just a second, noticing he was awake. "Mornin Zel." he chirped happily. He turned to his friend. "How'd...you...sleep..." he didn't finish his question. Instead he looked at Zelos and then at Pak snuggly on his back. "What...?" Hummingbird tried to stifle a giggle. "What...are.." you started to laugh, quickly covering his mouth with a hoof.
Zelos glared at him. "Don't ask." he grumbled. He layed his ears back at the sound of his friends stifled laugh. "And shut up!" he hissed in a whisper. "You'll wake him." he growled, gestering to Pak.
Hummingbird just nodded trying to keep a straight face. "Sorry..." he said. "But how did he get up there?" he asked, a giggle still trying to bust through his voice.
Zelos gave a sigh. "Just shut up and go back to sleep." he mumbled as he lay his head back down, closing his own eyes.
Hummingbird did the same but he was still stifling his giggles. That was just one of those priceless moments that you just never would see a pirate in, especially Zelos.

Pak was still quite happily snuggled against his back, one hind leg folded under the other, and both front legs wrapped around the shoulders of his 'bed'. His head was curled quite comfortably against Zelos' shoulderblades, ears at half-mast as he snoozed.
As the ponies around him talked, Pak whuffed softly in his sleep, the edges of his consciousness alerted by the talking. He wasn't quite awake, but he was wasn't quite as deeply asleep as he had been before, either. He slowly opened one eye, looking around, and closed it again. Hm. Must have been someone snoring! He yawned softly, and turned his head the other way, nuzzling against Zelos' fur as he tried to make himself more comfortable. "Sooooft." He crooned quietly, smiling as he snuggled down against the stallion.

The moment that Pak semi-awoke, Zelos became like a statue, his body going absolutely stiff even after the little winger went back to sleep. Oh gosh, how could he ever sleep like this. Minutes passed into the teens. Zelos completely still, not daring to even look to see if Pak was still asleep on him. After another good half-hour, the flutter pirate slowly lifted his head to take a glance at the little winger lying so comfortably on his back. Gingerly, he craned his neck around and saw that, indeed, Pak was asleep still. He tried to let out a sigh as he let himself gaze at the delicate little winger. He was adorable, lying there..... Zelos felt his ears lay back. He sounded like an idiot! He should not be thinking that! He let his head drop onto his pillow. "Stop being stupid!" he mouthed to himself and sqeezed his eyes shut. He will wake up soon. Then he'd be alright. He must just be lonely.
Hummingbird wasn't asleep either. He was giggling to himself as quietly as he could, stifling the laughs with his hoof. But he appeared to be asleep from the back, anyway. He knew this had to odd for Zelos, but it wasn't everyday that he could laugh about a situation like this. Usually, Hummingbird ended up in the weird stuations and Zelos got to laugh about it.

But Pak couldn't sleep forever. He yawned softly against Zelos' mane, small body trembling as he stretched, and slowly peeked one eye open. Must be early, because his friends were still tucked into their hammocks. But then where was he!
He peeked down, both eyes widening as he realized just WHERE he was. He pinked, and froze for a moment, unsure what to do. He liked cuddling as much as the next winger, but what if the sailor woke up! He'd be soooooo angry!! Pak carefully shifted his weight, slowly sliding off of the flutter pony's back, and onto the bed beside him. Once he was fully off, he curled the opposite direction, hoping that Zelos wouldn't notice that he'd been asleep ON TOP of him. Gah, maybe he wasn't the beating-type? He could hope!

Zelos felt the winger wake and slide down off of him. Oh, thank the gods. Now he could breathe. Still pretending to be asleep, he stretched a bit. He'd been stuck in that same position for hours. It sure felt good to move. He had cramps in his legs and his joints cracked noisily with every stretch. His ears perked with each crack, too. Oh man, he hoped he didn't wake anyone. He glanced at the sleeping wingers. All seemed to be well.
Hummingbird still snickered to himself but he heard the sound of movement. He looked back at his friend. Awww, the little winger was trying to slide off of him all quiet like. He decided not to let Pak know that he had seen him. He quickly laid his head down and shut his eyes, a smirk plastered on his face.
Zelos also pretended to be asleep. When Pak had settled down next to him, he opened one eye and glanced down at the lovely little winger. In all reality, he was just a little smaller than Zelos' own flutter pony self. But he seemed to be so much more delicate and very cute. He caught himself smiling down at him. He shook his head. "Arghhh," he growled to himself. He was really wanting a girl right now....right...?

Pak peeked out at Zelos from under his eyelashes, ears flattening as he heard all the cracks. Oh no, had he hurt him by sleeping on him?! He hadn't meant to, if he'd known he would hurt him, he wouldn't have done it! He just wanted to be warm!
During all this noise, the other two wingers slept silently, and Vio snorted softly in a dream. Thankfully, the noise was not so loud as to awake the pair.
But Pak was close enough to hear it all, as well as the little growl that Zelos made. Oh no, he was MAD! "'m sorry." He whispered, ears flat. No need to pretend to be asleep if he was going to smack him, or something! His wings trembled softly, and he hid his head under the pillow. Well, if he tried to smack him now, he'd have some protection!

"'m sorry."
Zelos' ears perked at the small sound of the little winger. Awww, he knew he was awake? And he thought he was angry? Awww, poor guy. The flutter picked his head up off the pillows letting his gaze fall on the little winger as he hid his head, as if Zelos was going to reel back and belt him one. That thought made his stomach start to turn. Who would ever...? He felt his eyebrows nit together in anger. How could anyone...? He took a deep breath to calm himself. He laid his head close to Pak's. "Oh, it's alright." he finally said. "No harm done." he continued, looking right at the winger, a smile curling the corners of his mouth.
Hummingbird, heard the little winger's words too. And he too, had glanced at him, watching him hide like someone was going to slug him. His ears slid back. Who could hit a cute little critter like that? His thoughts were interrupted when he heard his commrade speak to the winger. He glanced around at the others, sleeping in their hammoks. Such cute little things.

Pak peeked one eye out from under the pillow, looking up at the flutter pony beside him. "Really...?" He asked in a tiny voice, biting his bottom lip. "I didn't mean to hurt you, I just ... you were so warm!" He sighed wistfully, his ears flat against his head.
Back in the hammocks, the two other wingers slept peacefully, their wings trembling oh so lightly with each soft intake of breath. Vio resettled himself under the blankets, snorting softly in a dream as he rolled over. Moondrop was woken somewhat by the quivering of the hammocks, and peeked one eye open to look down at his bretheren. Vio was there, and Pak-- WHERE WAS PAK!?
His eyes widening sleepily, he looked around, eyebrows raising to his mane as he sighted the little yellow winger snuggled against Zelos' side. Wow. That wasn't something he'd anticipated when they'd invited the two flutters in.
Pak peeked up at Zelos, his eyes alight with curiosity now. "I thought sailors didn't like ponies sharing their beds." He said softly, his voice filled with questioning amazement.

Zelos smiled at him. Aww. He was so cute. "You didn't hurt me in any way." Realizing his silly actions once again, he nonchalantly looked away, pretending to get more comfortable, sliding onto his side, but somehow getting closer to the winger. Argh! Oh well. He let out a sigh, hearing one of the other wingers awake suddenly. He and Hummingbird glanced over at the hammoks. Moondrop was awake and watching. The yellow flutter exchanged a quick look to Zelos. Looks like the others would be awake soon too.
"I thought sailors didn't like ponies sharing their beds." He said softly, his voice filled with questioning amazement.
Zelos let out a small chuckle and hummingbird had to turn his attention to the winger who laid in their midst.
"That's not always the case." he said softly, eying his shipmate for a moment.
Hummingbird nodded. "Yeah, depends on the situation." he said.

Pak smiled back at Zelos, his wings fluttering softly in pleasure. "Really? That's good, because you made all those cracking sounds... I thought maybe I hurt something." He said softly, worrying at his bottom lip with his teeth.
As Zelos rolled over closer to him, he snuggled against him in return, happily snuggling into the warmth as he tugged the blanket up over his shoulders. "Really? What is the situation here?" He asked curiously, ears pricked up at Zelos.
Moondrop, having not been noticed by Pak yet, lowered his head, laying it against his pillow as he watched the pair. He'd fall back asleep before too long, but for now, he wanted to make sure Pak would be safe with these two sailors.

Pak smiled back at Zelos, his wings fluttering softly in pleasure. "Really? That's good, because you made all those cracking sounds... I thought maybe I hurt something." He said softly, worrying at his bottom lip with his teeth.
Zelos arched an eyebrow at the winger and couldn't help but laugh slightly. How could a winger ever hurt him by sitting on him? Pak didn't weigh much at all, especially since he was a flier with those beautiful, delicate wings of his. Zelos caught himself staring at pack again. He glanced away giving him a grin. "I don't think you could hurt me if you tried." he said, trying not to let his gaze fall on him. Hummingbird noticed this.
"Really? What is the situation here?" He asked curiously, ears pricked up at Zelos.
Hummingbird looked at Zelos. What was their situation?
Zelos took a breath as he seemed to be appraising it, himself. Let's see..they were pirates lost on a island, hunted by the mers, faking to be just sailors, tricking these poor naive ponies... The flutter gave a sigh. He didn't like this game, didn't like to trick them....to trick Pak. His ears drooped a little but he tried not to show his true emotion, right now. Head up, ears trying to perk he said, "We're sailors stranded on a strange island..."
Hummingbird let his wings droop, interupting his commrade as a thought pushed into his head. "Looking for others that may be dead.."
Zelos eyed him and interupted his gloomy sentance. "But thankfully, Pak, you and your friends have offered to help us. So our situation is getting better." He said with a smile...kind of forced.
