Satine raised an eyebrow slightly as she listened to Daisy May's words. "Kicked out?" she repeated in smooth, velvet like tone. She tilted her head to the side, intrigued. Could she and this pony have more in common than what she thought? Pushing back her silken forelock, she looked at her host. "Which was your hometown?" She decided to remain unintrusive, hoping the pony would tell her without having to seem like she was prying.

The Pegasus was slightly frightened when Velvet had asked about her old hometown. After all, she had never told anyone about it before. But she did set it up so she could talk about it. Something about this midnight black unicorn made Daisy May feel safe and not so much alone. Perhaps she could make this satin beauty her friend, at least.
She straightened herself up bit. Daisy May cleared her throat quickly, "My hometown is so small that it doesn't have a name, not really. I used to joke with friends that our town was so small that if you blink, you'll miss it," she chuckled softly at the memory.
She then added, in a poor attempt at being poetic, "It's also very far away. So far away that you'd say it doesn't even exist."

She was almost speaking in riddles. Satine looked at the for a few minutes. "Very poetic." she said. She looked deep into the eyes of her host, searching her like any unicorn would. She found some interesting information. With another, sweeter smile she glanced back at the fire. This pony was hiding something, just like her. Perhaps she should tell her?
Satine looked back at Daisy May. "May I ask," she got a little closer. "Why you got kicked out of the town with no name?"

Daisy May grew pale at the unicorn's question. It was quite subtle, after all, she was a white Pegasus. But she felt paler. Should she tell her? Wasn't that what she wanted to do? She was practically tangling the question in front of Velvet. She was bound to ask. Getting kicked outta' town was not something that happened every day.
She grew slightly uncomfortable as Velvet edged in...but she enjoyed the closeness. Does that even make sense, she thought to herself.
If she was going to tell the midnight-black unicorn, she should tell the truth. Truth was always the way-to-go. She was fine with who she was...wasn't she? She told everyone her opinions if they asked. She would tell Velvet the truth.
Despite her plan, Daisy May still felt somewhat nervous. She looked into the fire deeply for a single moment to think about what she was going to say. Then, finding herself unable to look her guest in the eye, she let her gaze fall to the floor. The Pegasus sighed softly and said, "Well, I fell in love. I fell madly, deeply, passionately in love. But my parents didn't approve our relationship. Torn between our love and our families, we broke off our romance. I was properly disowned by my parents and my ex- found a 'more appropriate' lover."
She paused momentarily (for dramatic effect...she's still an artist) before continuing, "I found myself utterly alone; so I left."

The black unicorn only looked at her host for a moment and her green eyes became just a bit darker. A flash of anger went through them and she looked into the flames to hide it. She knew what one would do for love. Although she never fell for anyone, she did love her dearly departed father and he loved her enough to die for her....as she watched. Her ears slid back as the anger burned in her, threatening to get out. She tried to calm her mind, squeezing her now glowing eyes shut to get control. Brief flashes of old memories shot through her consciousness. She felt it happening... No, she had to get control. Her muscles tensed and the bowl her soup had been in began to shake as if in an earthquake. "I know what love gets you..." she said aloud. The bowl shook all the harder. It was too late. Control was gone. Her hair seemed to become weightless, blowing in a strange wind. She opened her eyes, looking directly at her host, her green eyes glowing as she growled. "Love..." No she could not do this. Not here, not now. Again she bowed her head, trying to hold it in. The bowl suddenly shattered, sending shards everywhere. That got her attention. She sqeezed her eyes shut, regaining her mind. The wind gone, she looked back at the pony, hoping she hadn't sacred her. Afterall she didn't want to lose her hiding place. But also because this pony seemed to be an outcast...like her.
"I'm ....I'm sorry." she said quietly pulling away from her host, a shard of glass in her right hoof. "I didn't mean to.." she trailed off looking at the ground.

At first Daisy May found Velvet's display quite curious. Did her story upset her that much? She did not mean to upset her guest; all she meant was to answer her question. One thing was for sure, Velvet's outburst caused the Pegasus to temporarily forget her sorrow for her lost love.
Her blue eyes were filled with fear as she saw her visitor's lilac hair blow and her emerald eyes glow. Daisy May had never seen anything like this. Her heart raced so fast that she could hear beating. Her body shook all over and she would have screamed if she had a voice.
As the bowl shattered, she made an attempt to back up. She soon fell back on her elbows and watched in fear with her mouth open wide at her unicorn companion's display.
As oddly as it began, it stopped. Velvet seemed to calm. Her eyes had stopped glowing and her hair was not blowing in a strange wind.
What had love done to her? Daisy May wondered after the odd ordeal. She began to calm herself. That girl sure had some temper. Although the experience was rather horrifying, she thought Velvet looked attractive during the event, albeit it was a scary attractive.
I'm ....I'm sorry
Daisy May gave a nervous chuckle, "Don't--don't mention it. It's quite all right, really."
She carefully got up and looked at the shattered bowl, "I--I'll just get a broom for that."
Without turning her back on her guest, she swiftly grabbed a broom from the kitchen. She quietly cleaned the mess.
"If you don't mind my asking," she started hesitantly, "Was that just a unicorn thing? You don't have to answer if you don't want to."

Satine's ears perked and she looked at her host. The mare actually still wanted her to stay! She looked rather confused at the moment but a little relieved. She forced a smile as her host cleaned up the broken glass.
"If you don't mind my asking," Daisy May started hesitantly, "Was that just a unicorn thing? You don't have to answer if you don't want to."
Satine's green eyes flashed with a slight bit of anger but she was controlled now. She smiled sheepishly. "Uh, yeah..." She stood up. "It's telekinisis. Sorry I scared you."

"It's telekinesis. Sorry I scared you."
"It's quite all right, really," Daisy May said, trying to sooth her guest. She really was fine, though she would remember not to upset Velvet like that in the future.
"So..." she said, attempting conversation, but nothing was coming to her. "Do you like...stuff?" she asked after a long pause.
Do you like stuff? Hasbro, she was such an idiot! Why could she not think of anything else to ask her? Daisy May wanted to slap herself for asking such a stupid question. She refrained, however, since she did not want to seem insane in front of the pretty lady.

Satine had to look at her and just blink. Do you like stuff? What kind of a question was that? Had she scared her that bad that she made it hard for her host to think? She winced at that thought and gave a sigh of disappointment in herself. Then she smiled sweetly and shook her head with a forced lady-like giggle. "Do I like stuff, Daisy May?" she asked playfully, but was actually trying to fix what damage she might of done. With another giggle she added in a half whisper, coming very close to her host, being as disarming and charming as she could. "Depends on what stuff you are talking about."

Well, at least Velvet responded to her question Daisy May thought. It was such a stupid question, but she could not think of anything else to say and she had no intention of letting Velvet go home that quickly. Sure, there was that incident a few moments ago, but that could happen to anyone...right?
Depends on what stuff you are talking about.
Trembling shook her body as her guest edged closer to her. Her heart was without rhythm and redness crept across her cheeks. It felt as though a fire was burning deep inside her. She had not felt this way since...well, I suppose you can guess.
"Umm...well...I--I--" the Pegasus stammered. Honestly, she had not thought when she asked her idiotic question. In fact, she would still be kicking herself for it if Velvet had not gotten so...distracting. She swallowed hard. She was breathing quite hard as well, to the point she was almost panting. Velvet's closeness was throwing off her entire body and mind. With Velvet in her eyes, she could not speak.
She was not even thinking about what she was going to say anymore. Thinking took too much thought.
She gave a nervous chuckle and stuttered, "I--I wa--was actually ho--hoping th--that you woo--would t--t--take i--it from th--there."

Satine blinked, looking at the pegasus as she began to get very uncomfortable and stammer a few sentences. What had she done to this poor female? Satine gave a sigh half out of frusteration. Was her host afraid of her now? She looked into the eyes of her host and decided to just say it....or rather, ask it. Coming a bit closer she seemed to pur, "Do I scare you?" As she said the last word, she exhaled slowly, coming back to face her. Her eyes luminescent and very green.

Poor Daisy May was trying hard to "keep her cool" but it was harder than she first thought. Half of her wanted to plant a kiss on the unicorn's lips, and the other half agreed completely. But Daisy May restrained herself because she feared her guest's reaction.
Her mind then snapped back to Velvet's question. Thankfully, she thought, Velvet isn't able to read my mind unlike some unicorns. Those mind reading unicorns were so annoying. Not like Velvet.
"Scare me?" Daisy May repeated, "A--actually i--it's quite th--the o--o--opposite r--really."

Satine watched the pegasus. Was she uncomfortable?
"Scare me?" Daisy May repeated, "A--actually i--it's quite th--the o--o--opposite r--really."
Satine smiled slowly, looking at the pegasus through her thick black eyelashes. "So why are you stammering?" she asked, tilting her head gentily, locks of her lilac mane almost brushing her host.

"Stammering?" Daisy May replied, "Who--who's st--st--stammering?"
She then let out a nervous chuckle, "I--I'm al--always th-this ar--ar--articulate."
While trying to inch herself away from Velvet slightly, her hand (or hoof, whatever you'd like call it) slipped and she fell backward onto her elbows. With her belly exposed and her hind legs in the air, she could only imagine how ridiculous she looked to her guest.
Great impression I'm leaving her with, she thought quite annoyed with herself, she probably thinks I'm a clumsy weirdo who has a stutter.

Satine gave a small forced giggle looking at her host lying on her back, belly exposed. Shaking her head, she tried to help her up but fell face first onto Daisy May. "Whoa!!" She pushed herself up on her elbows. "Sorry about that." she said with a smile. "I still don't have my strength back from the accident. She gave a sigh, her soft pelt brushing up against the pegasus as she pulled herself to her feet and again tried to pull her host to her feet.
