As the mysterious unicorn fell face first into her, Daisy May let a small "Oh!" that sounded more delighted than surprised. Thoughts raced through her mind as Velvet lay on top of her. Odd, provocative images danced and boogied inside her head (none I shall describe because I'd like to keep this thread rated G to PG). Tempting as it was, the Pegasus did not act upon any of the urges she felt...mainly because her guest got up too quickly. If she had stayed however...
As her female companion pulled Daisy May up, the Pegasus tripped slightly (whether that was intentional, the world may never know) and fell forward. Don't worry, though, neither pony was hurt because Velvet's lips broke Daisy May's fall. The white, now mostly pink-faced, pony pulled away from the "accidental" kiss after about thirty seconds.
Daisy May brushed her magenta mane out of her face and cleared her throat, "Um, sorry." She paused for an awkward moment then continued, "Um, yeah. There's probably some coffee or tea in the kitchen if you'd like something to drink."
She desperately hoped that Velvet would not leave after the R.A.G. (random acts of gayness) she had just displayed. She would certainly understand if her guest walked out the door now. Yes, Daisy May would be sad if Velvet left, but that kiss was "totally worth it!"

Satine was stunned for a moment. Had she just been kissed? She looked at Daisy May, a very confused look passing in those green eyes. It was probably an accident. She fell on her, that's all, right? Of course. And even if it wasn't , she couldn't go anywhere on this island, anyway. Not with everyone looking for her and the rest of the crew. She'd have to stay no matter what. Besides, she'd been in much more awkward situtations than this. Forcing a smile, she said, "Ooops, are you ok?" She gave her a wink. "You seem to be just as clumsy as me." she said, narrowing her eyes on her. "We are two peas in a pod, yes?"
Daisy May brushed her magenta mane out of her face and cleared her throat, "Um, sorry." She paused for an awkward moment then continued, "Um, yeah. There's probably some coffee or tea in the kitchen if you'd like something to drink."
Satine gazed at her for a moment, her true side coming through for a second, then submerging itself back into the false personna of "Velvet". She waved her hoof. "Oh, don't worry about it." she said with a giggle, a forced giggle. Satine was not one to one giggle like school girl, but right now she had too. She put a hoof on her shoulder. "It was an accident, don't worry about it. Let's go have some coffee." she finished with a reassuring smile.

Ah, coffee. The answer to all of life's little problems. Daisy May figured from Velvet's answer that everything was all right between them...or at least it seemed.
Daisy May followed her guest's example and forced a smile. "Yes, yes, let's have some coffee. Coffee makes everything even better," she replied.
Despite the reassurance from her unicorn companion, Daisy May could not get her "accident" off her mind. She hoped fervently that the incident would not come back and bite her in the bum. She was so deep in her thoughts that she missed the entry for the kitchen. After her head hit the wall with a loud bonk, she gave out cry that was mixed with pain and anger.
"Hasbro!" she yelled with such an angry passion that it rivaled any four-letter word in the English language. She shook her head and aimed herself into the kitchen and grinned sheepishly at Satine (aka Velvet).
"Um, one lump or two?" she joked, attempting to cover up her embarrassment.

Um, one lump or two?" she joked, attempting to cover up her embarrassment.
Satine gave a silly little giggle, trying to stay in the personna of Velvet. This pony was making it easier to stay in character. She gave a smile to Daisy May. "i'll have two please." she said as she neared the pegasus. "I like mine sweet." she finished, turning to look out the window again. No one was out there but she still couldn't shake that uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach. Would she have to spend the rest of her life indoors to escape the mers?

Daisy May blushed slightly but then smiled at her house guest.
"Coming right up," she announced as she brewed up more coffee, "I like mine jacked up with sugar too."
The Pegasus began to feel uneasy. She hadn't had anyone stay over for so long. What should she do now? Offer more food? What ever happens, she thought to herself, don't let her leave without knowing if you may see her again.
[sorry it's so short. Writer's block is a killer!]

Satine smiled and nodded. She didn't really like hers that sweet. She was playing the part of Velvet, not her true pirate self. It was too dangerous to be Satine. She had to be this overly sweet pony. It did make her feel sick to force her silly giggles and whatever else she had to do. But this was how it had to be. So politely, she waited for her coffee, wondering how she was going to get the mare to let her stay the night.

Daisy May poured two cups of the steaming joy and handed one to her house guest. She grinned at Satine/Velvet, "'Ere you go, mi'lady."
The Pegasus took a sip of the hot drink, ignoring the fact that the coffee was too hot and she was burning her tongue. She didn't have time for screaming in pain now. She had to think up a clever way to make sure that she and Velvet see each other again. They didn't have to be great friends or too close. At least a nod of acknowledgment if they passed each other on the street was all this pony was asking for.
Glancing out the kitchen window, the hostess noticed the sun setting. Where did this unicorn live? She studied the black pony for a few minutes, letting her sapphire eyes rest on her as long as possible. 'Twas a pretty pony, this girlie was. Such a pretty mare shouldn't be staying here so long. No one stayed with Daisy May. What made this pony any different from the rest?
Pulling her eyes off of the lovely sight, she stared at her reflection in her coffee. Perhaps Velvet had no home? Daisy couldn't remember asking if she lived nearby or even if she had a home on the island.
Summoning her courage, the Pegasus inquired softly, "So, you live nearby? It's getting pretty late and I would hate myself if I let a pretty pony such as yourself out alone after dark," she continued, getting more confident as she went on, "You could stay the night, if you liked. That is, if your place is too far."

Satine took the cup of coffee from Daisy May. "Thank you." she replied as sweetly as she could. She blew the steam from the cup and took a small sip. Yipes! It was hot. "Mmm, it's hot!" she cried with a bit of a sheepish grin. She quickly put her cup down to cool for a minute. Then she glanced at her host who was actually drinking her coffee. Wasn't it hot? Satine tilted her head a bit. She didn't seem to mind burning her mouth. She gave a shrug as she too noticed the sun setting. "Oh great, they'll find me for sure in the dark..." she whispered to herself. that's when she heard her host.

Daisy May continued, getting more confident as she went on, "You could stay the night, if you liked. That is, if your place is too far."
Satine looked at her. She was asking her to stay? Perfect! She picked up her mug of coffee. 'I don't really have a place to stay. I don't live on this island." She looked at the floor. "But I don't want to intrude.." she said quietly. In truth she was hoping this would happen. Now she just had to sweet and coy.
